Origins

Origins is the first Riftbound set and the foundation of the game. It released on October 31, 2025 together with the Proving Grounds starter box and three Champion decks built around Jinx, Viktor and Lee Sin. Its 298 numbered cards introduce the six domains, the twelve core champions and the battlefields that every later set builds on.

Origins also set the pattern for collecting: each of the twelve core champions has an alternate art unit that turns up about twice per display, overnumbered cards appear about once in three displays, and one overnumbered card in ten carries the signature of its artist.

The official card gallery lists 352 cards for Origins: 298 in the main numbering, plus 54 showcase printings (30 alternate art, 12 overnumbered and 12 signature).

By rarity that is 88 Common, 84 Uncommon, 84 Rare and 42 Epic. By type it is 12 legends, 142 units, 84 spells, 30 gear, 24 battlefields and 6 runes.

Each of the six domains, Fury, Calm, Mind, Body, Chaos and Order, has 62 cards, and 28 colorless cards fit a deck of any domain.
